Your Grind Might Be Changing Your Coffee ☕
Fine, medium, or coarse? Here’s how to get more from every bean.
THE PERFECT GRIND
You picked great coffee. You stored your beans properly. But there’s one more thing that can completely change the way your coffee tastes:
The grind.
Different brewing methods need different grind sizes because they extract coffee differently.
☕ Espresso — Fine
A fine grind helps create the concentrated, full-bodied flavor espresso is known for.
☕ Drip Coffee — Medium
Think of a texture similar to sand. A medium grind works beautifully for most traditional coffee makers.
☕ Pour-Over — Medium to Medium-Fine
This gives the water enough time to pull out those beautiful flavors without over-extracting the coffee.
☕ French Press — Coarse
Larger grounds work best with the longer steeping time and help produce a rich, smooth cup.
One Kainos Tip
Grind your whole beans as close to brewing time as possible.
Once coffee is ground, more of it is exposed to air, which means its aroma and flavor begin changing faster.
So if you're a whole-bean drinker, don't grind the entire bag at once. Grind what you need. Brew it. Enjoy it.
Then finish with something branded:
A better cup isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about getting the little things right.
Smooth. Bold. Purposeful.
